After a 22 month construction programme, the 45 metre Transocean Explorer yacht, Marco Polo, was launched in November 2006, and officially handed over to her owners, MCC Maritime Concept and Construction (Hong Kong) Ltd, on 25th April. Attended by 130 people, this exclusive handover event showcased the new boat, as well as previewed forthcoming models.

Marco Polo is the first of MCC’s Transocean Explorer series to be built by Cheoy Lee to designs by Ron Holland Design, with interior decoration by London based KCA International. High Modulus carried out the structural engineering for her composite components.

Marco Polo is now en route to Valencia, via Singapore and the Suez Canal, to watch the 32nd America's Cup. She will be available for potential clients and yacht brokers to view prior to reaching Monaco, where she will join other superyachts at the prestigious annual yacht show in September.
