High Modulus has been involved with the America's Cup Class since the 1980's when the company supplied materials to and engineered the New Zealand challenge's12 Metre class yachts. These were the first fiberglass 12 Metre race yachts and set the course for the use of composites in the marine industry worldwide. Since then, High Modulus has remained at the cutting edge of race boat composite technology, now involved with three of the 2006/7 ACC campaigns - Emirates Team New Zealand, Team Shosholosa (South Africa), and Plus 39 (Italy) .
