The result of a collaboration between the US Navy and Navatek Ltd, the HDV® 100 is a 40 knot deep-vee monohull with two smaller secondary hulls, dynamically supported on a pair of lifting bodies aft with a fully rotating 'Pi' foil forward.

The engineering solution demanded compliance with ABS rules for high-speed naval craft, USCG rules, and the tonnage requirements of CFR sub chapter T for service as a commercial ferry. High Modulus also worked closely with the builder and suppliers to develop a resin film infusion process suitable for the construction of the deck from a single layer multi-axial carbon either side of the core.
